Benefits of cycling

The benefits of cycling are widely recognized and can be directly experienced by anyone who practices this sport. From a physiological point of view, cycling is classified as mainly an aerobic and endurance sport, which greatly involves the cardio-circulatory and respiratory systems, as well as numerous muscles. This type of exercise therefore leads to the typical improvements gained from endurance sports:

Cardiac efficiency - With every beat the heart pumps a greater quantity of blood.

Respiratory capacity - It improves the exchange of oxygen in the pulmonary alveoli.

Muscular efficiency - It increases circulation in the muscles used and improves the ability to extract oxygen from the blood and to use carbohydrates.

Moreover, cycling regularly leads to better control of blood pressure, glycaemia, cholesterol and body weight, with proven benefits in the prevention and management of diseases such as high blood pressure, cardiovascular ischemia, diabetes, and obesity.

In order to ensure that cycling is fun and does not become a problem, we must not forget some precautions:

a frame that is the wrong size or an incorrect position on the saddle can cause problems to the rachis or the joints of lower limbs, therefore when buying a bicycle it is important to rely on expert dealers; in order to avoid illnesses from the cold, clothing must be appropriate for the climate. It should allow sweat to evaporate and protect the body from wind.
Helmet, glasses and gloves limit damage from falls and accidents.
These are some warnings and advice that must always be considered by people approaching cycling.

However, even if some people prefer not to talk about it, there's more ........

.....the saddle.
